UV Water Sterilization

UV water sterilization systems are primarily used to treat unsafe well water due to contamination by bacteria or viruses. They deliver a “lethal” dose of UV light to the water, effectively killing 99.99% of illness-causing microorganisms, including E-coli, Cryptosporidium and Giardia. UV water sterilization is a natural process that adds no chemicals and does not affect the taste or odor of water. Maintenance is simple and can be completed in minutes, without tools. Effectively destroys 99.9% of harmful microorganisms including bacteria, cysts, viruses, yeasts and molds in water supplies.
UV lights give peace of mind that your water is safe to drink.

For most residential applications Advanced Water Resources uses a well proven UV Light System made in the USA by ATS. These versatile systems can be mounted vertically or horizontally. They come standard with flow controls, site ports, and “lamp out” alarms.

In order for UV systems to be 100% effective, the water passing through the unit must be clean and clear to obtain proper ultraviolet transmission (UVT). In most cases a cartridge style sediment filter installed before the UV system provides adequate pre-filtration. If the water contains high levels of hardness or iron, other pre-treatment equipment may be necessary.

Advanced Water Resources can have your water tested for bacteria by a certified water testing lab. See our specials for a $ 5.00 savings coupon. Most other testing is done free of charge. Call us today at 610-929-6888.

For commercial applications above 20 GPM we use the Trojan UV Max Systems. These Systems can be outfitted with any option desired or required such as, UV intensity monitors, alarms, and external safety shut off valves.

Also available is a new UV product that is capable of meeting the new EPA 4 log requirement (99.9999%) for public drinking water systems. Contact us for details.
